From the Founder

In addressing the poignant realities faced by many elderly individuals and orphaned children, it is crucial to recognize the multifaceted challenges they encounter, including destitution, neglect, and a lack of fundamental care. Over the course of two decades, our organization, BAWCSWS, has been steadfast in our commitment to ameliorating their plight and restoring a sense of dignity to their lives.

Our mission extends beyond merely providing material assistance; it encompasses the profound goal of instilling genuine joy and alleviating the profound sadness experienced by those who have been marginalized. Despite encountering formidable obstacles, our dedicated relief teams persist in their efforts, venturing into remote and impoverished areas to distribute essential provisions and offer invaluable support to those in need. Their unwavering dedication and tireless endeavors serve as a testament to the resilience of the human spirit and the power of compassionate action.

Crucially, the realization of our endeavors would be unattainable without the steadfast support of our donors. From corporate entities to individual contributors, from esteemed institutions to valued partners, their unwavering belief in our cause and their generous contributions have served as the cornerstone of our organization’s success. We express our profound gratitude to each and every one of them for their unwavering commitment and solidarity in advancing our shared vision of a society characterized by equity, justice, and dignity, particularly for those who are most vulnerable and marginalized.

Looking ahead, we remain resolute in our determination to collaborate closely with local authorities to identify and address the evolving needs of those in our care.

By fostering robust partnerships and harnessing collective efforts, we endeavor to ensure that no individual is overlooked or left behind in our pursuit of a more compassionate and inclusive society. We extend a heartfelt invitation to our supporters to continue accompanying us on this transformative journey, as together; we strive to effect meaningful and sustainable change in the lives of those who stand most in need of our compassion and support.

Who We Are?

Barrackpore Avenue Women’s Cultural and Social Welfare Society established in 2001 in West Bengal. BAWCSW owes its existence to the dedication and hard work of Mrs. Camille Johnson and her team who wanted to combat the growing poverty in villages and urban areas.

Barrackpore Avenue Women’s Cultural and Social Welfare is providing three proper Homes for the children . Here they are given good nutrition, a strong educational foundation & alternative vocational course , recreation and health care. This will be a solution of solving the problems hidden by the fact that homeless children are invisible; yet by the very nature of their situation, they are included among those that are classified as disadvantaged and poor in Barrackpore. In Barrackpore locality like any other areas of the World, there is growing number of street children caused by poor economy and other. Findings still shows that children in abject problems are recognized by rather elementary criteria.
