Apnapan Old Age Home for Women serves as a sanctuary for elderly individuals who have often been abandoned and left to fend for themselves. Within our refuge, these seniors find solace and comfort, welcomed into a warm and familial environment where they are embraced as cherished members of our community. Many of these individuals come to us through collaborative efforts with other social welfare organizations or compassionate individuals who recognize their plight. Often discovered neglected and alone on the streets, some among them face additional challenges due to mental or physical disabilities.

Tragically, for many of our residents, returning to their families is not an option, either because their loved ones have relocated or simply refuse to provide care. The underlying cause of their predicament often stems from their inability to earn a livelihood, leading family members to shirk their responsibilities. Despite these hardships, we extend open arms to these individuals, acknowledging their past contributions to society and offering them a life of dignity and respect.

At Apnapan Old Age Home, we go beyond the traditional notion of beneficiaries, referring to our residents as grandparents. Currently, our home is blessed with the presence of 16 grandmothers and 5 grandfathers, each of whom enriches our community with their wisdom and presence. Through our unwavering dedication, we strive to provide them with a reason to live joyfully, surrounded by love and companionship. In doing so, we honor their lives and ensure that they are able to enjoy their golden years with the dignity and happiness they deserve.
